Summary
Titan Poker is a somewhat smaller poker room that offers a very nice deposit bonus. Some of the benefits of playing at a smaller poker room is that the "strongest" competition may not be there, and a good player has a fantastic shot at winning a large tournament prize. Titan poker has some very appealing jackpot Sit-'N'-Go promotions.
In addition to their signup bonus, Titan Poker has several promotions.
Their most famous promotion is their $100 Million Jackpot Freeroll. This
is a freeroll that has $500k in guaranteed prizes, as well as potential
jackpots ranging from $250k up to $100 million. The jackpot prizes are
available at the final table. If someone hits a certain hand, they will
win the jackpot prize. For example, if someone is dealt a royal flush of
spades, a $100 million jackpot will be awarded.
This freeroll will occur on September 17, 2006. Players need to qualify for
this freeroll by winning a freeroll qualifier event (these are obviously
free to enter as well, though they often have raked hand requirements).
Some of their other promos include sit-and-go jackpot tournaments, where
players win an additional prize if they win a certain amount of sit-and-go
tournaments consecutively. For example, if someone wins four consecutive
$2+$.35 "Dirty Dozen" SNG tournaments, he or she would win an additional
$2,000 prize. Titan Poker also has a bad beat jackpot, as well as a high
hand of the day promotion.
It takes Titan Poker several days to process a cashout (around three seems to be typical). A representative told me that they may speed up their cashouts in the future. They also allow you to deposit and cashout money in pounds, dollars, or euros, which is a plus for European players.
Titan Poker's software has its plusses and minuses. The cashier and lobby interfaces are nice, but the gameplay can be annoying. It is too colorful, with too many flashing lights.
In general, the competition is slightly easier here than at most sites. The limit hold'em games can be a mixed bag. Sometimes they are soft, but often they are fairly tight. The no-limit games tend to be consistently softer here than at most other online sites.
Titan Poker has an extensive customer support team and offers email, phone, and live chat support.
